During the Occupation of France by Nazis, the Muslim Rector Benghabrit sheltered and saved many Jews in the basements of the Grand Mosque of Paris. Summary The Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II, in the year 1492, evacuated the Sephardi Jewish people from Spain, following the fall of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada and the proclamation of the Alhambra Decree.
