The College of Veterinary Science, Hyderabad, was established on August 5, 1946, as a constituent college of Osmania University by His Exalted Highness, the Nizam of Hyderabad.
This initiative marked a significant step towards structured veterinary education in the region, aiming to enhance animal health and support the agrarian economy.
Over the years, the college has evolved, and following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, it became part of the P.V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University.
Today, it continues to offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in veterinary sciences, contributing significantly to animal health care and research in Telangana. (Tamil Nadu Veterinary University)
